Sponsors Responsibilities
- Write monthly to your child.
- Send a birthday card.
- Send monthly check for sponsorship by the 1st of the month.
For Your Information
- Children are nondenominational, Christian; celebrate usual Christian holidays.
- Cost of an airmail letter, one ounce is $0.80; two ounces is $1.55; four pounds approx. $26.00. Boxes have a forty-pound limit. Shoebox is more affordable and good for storage.
- No Electricity. No running water (no bathtubs, showers, etc.).
- Warm climate due to location, on the equator. Sunsets at 7:00 P.M.
- Limited storage (under their bed).
- Print only, no cursive.
- Items that are mechanical/electronic, need clear instructions.
- There are no refunds. Recommendations
- Soap, washcloth, towel, shampoo, lotion
- Toothbrush/toothpaste
- Shoes, sandals, slippers
- Small stuffed animal
- Books (reading, religious, educational, coloring)
- Writing materials and School supplies (journals, stationery, stickers, pens, pencils, etc.)
- Clothes (t-shirts, light dresses, pants, shorts)
- Postcards, family photos
- Individually wrapped food
(Note: clothing and shoes can be purchased there cheaper, saving you postage. Purchases will be documented with photos for you.)
This is the time to do it. Fill out the form today. Decide which preference you have. Write out a check and send it in. We will have your handbook in the mail with the photo of a child within 24 hours.
Remember every penny of your sponsorship goes to the child you choose. The $5.00 One Time Fee is to help cover the monthly charges to send the payments to the school.
